The film is set in 1994 in middle class Bombay.The story revoled around four ordinary youngsters. Badmaash Company is the story of four ordinary youngsters, Karan (Shahid Kapoor), Bulbul (Anushka Sharma), Zing (Meiyang Chаng) and Chandu (Vir Das), who graduate from college and decide to start a "business" smuggling in foreign goods to India, thereby avoiding the heavy import taxes. Calling their venture "Friends and Company", When Karan's father suffers a heart attack and his family can't pay the bills, he gets an idea from Archie Bhai about shoes and seized customs goods.
